Mysti Mayhem
Mysti Mayhem is an American blues, soul, country, and rock singer-songwriter known for her powerful vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and energetic live performances. Originally from Pennsylvania and now based in North Carolina.
A major influence on her career was legendary blues pioneer Bo Diddley, who became her mentor after they met in Florida. Mayhem credits him with teaching her how to connect genuine emotion to her music and performance, helping shape the soulful blues style that defines her sound today.
Before launching her solo career, Mayhem performed with the folk-rock duo Spellbox. In 2008 she gained international attention when fans helped fund her debut solo album, Diversity, through the pioneering fan-funded label Sellaband. Since then she has continued to record and tour, blending blues, soul, country, and acoustic rock influences into a sound that is both rootsy and contemporary.
In recent years, Mysti has performed both as a solo artist and with the Mysti Mayhem Trio, featuring cello and percussion alongside her guitar and vocals. Her live shows are known for their soulful interpretations of both original songs and classic favorites. She was also nominated for a 2026 Josie Music Award and remains an active touring artist. Jack Bruce - Ginger Baker - Eric Clapton
Cream was a pioneering British rock supergroup formed in 1966 by Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, and Ginger Baker. Blending blues, rock, psychedelia, and jazz influences, Cream became one of the most influential bands of the late 1960s and helped establish the power-trio format in rock music.
The group's explosive musicianship and extended live improvisations made them a sensation on both sides of the Atlantic. Their biggest hits included the songs Sunshine of Your Love, White Room, and Crossroads. Classic albums such as Disraeli Gears, Wheels of Fire, and Goodbye are widely regarded as landmarks of classic rock.
Despite their success, tensions within the band led to a breakup in 1968 after just over two years together. Nevertheless, Cream's influence on blues-rock, hard rock, and jam-oriented bands remains enormous. The trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and briefly reunited for a series of celebrated concerts in 2005.
See You Next Week! - Andy
