Live at Rose Music Hall in Columbia, The Droptines Saturday April 11. Doors Open at 7 PM
The Droptines are an independent roots/country band from Texas, known for blending elements of red dirt, Americana, and country rock into a gritty, stripped-down sound. Their songs often center on working-class life, personal struggle, and emotional honesty, which has helped them connect strongly with a grassroots fan base. They’ve gained a reputation as a hard-touring band with a loyal audience drawn to their raw, unpolished style.
As for their name, “The Droptines” comes from the term drop tine, which refers to a point on a deer’s antler that grows downward instead of upward. It’s a somewhat rare and distinctive feature, often associated with rugged outdoors culture—especially hunting—which fits the band’s earthy, rural aesthetic. The name reflects both uniqueness and a connection to country life. Have a listen HERE!

Greg hails from St. Louis, MO, where his father was a high school wrestling coach, and his mother made him play clarinet in the band. He has captivated audiences with anecdotes about the conflict inherent in meshing the two disparate high school identities of varsity wrestler and band geek. Greg was also a West Point Cadet, where he distinguished himself by amassing an impressive tally of demerits and endless hours of pointless marching. After moving on to the University of Missouri, he studied journalism and became an All-American college wrestler. Watch a clip of Greg HERE.

The Brook & The Bluff
The Brook & The Bluff is a Nashville-based indie rock band originally from Birmingham. The band got their name from two geographic features in their hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. It refers to Shades Creek (the “brook”) and the nearby Red Mountain bluff, both well-known natural landmarks in the area.
Known for their rich four-part vocal harmonies and blend of indie rock, soul, and Southern influences. Their sound draws inspiration from classic rock and harmony-driven acts while maintaining a modern, melodic style.
After relocating to Nashville, they built a strong following through live performances and streaming success, eventually releasing multiple projects including their debut album and Their latest album Werewolf. Listen to the title song HERE
